Mr. Evans has over twenty years experience in the construction industry. He joined RES' parent company, Sir Robert McAlpine, as a Project Manager in 1994 and started working for RES in 1996. After being Project Manager for the construction of two wind project projects in Ireland, he moved to California in 1998 as Vice President of RES' new US subsidiary, RES Americas. He was Project Manager for 100MW of re-powering projects in Tehachapi in 1999.  When RES moved to Austin, Texas in 2000 he was actively involved in the development of 440 MW of projects in McCamey, Texas, that were constructed in 2001.  Since that time he has played a major role in all of RES Americas’ development and construction activities across the US and Canada.

     Mr. Evans has served on the AWEA Board of Directors for four years for the period 2002-2005.

     In 2005 he became Senior Vice President of Development for RES Americas, responsible for RES Americas’ development activities in the US and Canada, and also responsible for securing new construction business.

     He holds a BA (Hons) and a MA in Engineering Science from Oxford University, an MBA from London Business School, Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (U.K.), and C Eng, Chartered Engineer (U.K.).
