Dr. Oliver is the Vice President of Technologies & Resource Analysis of RES Americas.

He has been with RES for over ten years and joined the company as a Technical Engineer responsible for technical analysis of the company’s U.S. projects.  He also implemented a data acquisition system for RES’ prototype 1 MW turbine and was responsible for the subsequent data analysis.

In 2002, Dr. Oliver moved to the U.S. to work full time on the company’s North American portfolio and now manages all aspects of site prospecting, wind farm layout design, wind resource assessment and energy yield assessment.  His team is ultimately responsible for ensuring that all RES Americas’ projects can be financed from the wind resource perspective.  To date he has been directly involved in the siting of over 1,800 MW of wind plants in the United States.

Dr. Oliver holds a BEng (Hons.) in Aeronautical Engineering and a PhD in Wind Turbine Aerodynamics from City University, London.
