Supervisor: Vice President, Construction Projects

Description: Lead the site construction management team to deliver a quality project on time, under the budget estimate. Motivate the RES Americas team, client and subcontractors working at the site and maintain a safe working environment. MUST be willing to travel, living at worksite area for approximately 9 months per project (per diems provided), and returning to office location between projects. Office location is flexible.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan, direct, coordinate and manage wind farm development and construction project operations.
2. Management activities include, but are not limited to: plan and program construction work, develop and coordinate wind farm design, site supervision, implementation and management of safety systems, effective client liaison, contract with subcontractors, and coordinate construction, electrical and turbine work by subcontractors.
3. Oversee, direct and coordinate electrical and installation equipment, commissioning and testing, as well as install and maintain SCADA systems and other wind farm technology.
4. Oversee materials and subcontractor procurement, related contract administration, and legal, financial and permitting issues related to projects.
5. Monitor safety on site and ensure compliance with OSHA, RES Americas and other safety regulations which include State Safety.
6. Client satisfaction, budget control, profitability, contract compliance, problem resolution and project personnel management.
7. Full technical and management authority for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating project assignments.
8. Responsible for the technical quality, accuracy, and standards adherence of engineering and design drafting for the project, by working with the engineering and technical groups ensuring work outputs comply with standards and meets contract requirements.
9. Familiarity with and ability to stay current regarding changing regulatory requirements.
10. Stay current with professional and industrial best practices.
11. Represents the company to meet contractual requirements.
12. Ensures Quality and Environmental procedures are maintained.
13. Understanding of contract terms and ability to recognize discrepancies.
14. Must be able to work professionally with clients, vendors, employees, managers and supervisors.
15. Regular attendance is an essential requirement of the job.
16. Follow any other job-related duties/functions requested by the supervisor.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 10 -15 years of proven utility or industrial experience that includes a proven track record of managing large capital-industrial construction projects and at least four (4) years experience in the wind farm turbine installation, operation and maintenance to include experience in oversight and management of complex heavy lifts and handling heavy loads and machinery.
2. Needs expertise and the necessary skills to interface with the Client and will be instrumental in delivering on time cost effective projects.
3. Minimum 10 years of Management experience.
4. ABILITY TO TRAVEL, living at worksite for approximately 9 months, returning to an office location between projects. Per diems provided.
5. Current and valid driver's license.
6. Ability to read and manipulate AutoCad drawings.
7. Skilled in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word and Outlook.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree, or foreign equivalent in an Engineering field.
