Supervisor: Human Resources (HR) Manager

Description: Under general supervision, maintains responsibility for human resources functions and activities for assigned employee groups, including but not limited to, health and wellness, including FMLA and leave administration; support of benefit administration; recruitment and selection; performance management; employee development and employee relations. Maintain compliance with federal/state regulations. A high level focus on employee relations and customer satisfaction is essential.

Responsibilities:

1. Administers various HR plans and procedures for all personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
2. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
3. Assists with compensation program; monitors performance evaluation program.
4. Performs employee benefits communication and troubleshooting.
5. Assists in conducting recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; writes and places advertisements as required.
6. Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
7. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
8. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to affect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
9. Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.
10. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
11. Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.
12. Identifies, develops and maintains policies and procedures; develops recommendations for improvements and enhancements to policies and procedures in accordance with RES Americas management expectations and applicable laws.
13. Stays abreast of relevant HR-related laws and regulations and interpret and apply them.
14. Researches trends and best practices in the field of human resources.
15. Promotes the safety, welfare, wellness, and health of company personnel.
16. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. 3-5 years experience as a human resources generalist.
2. Unquestioned integrity.
3. Outstanding attention to detail, organization and customer service skills.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of labor and employment laws and regulations.
5. Experience with all facets of human resources operations.
6. Demonstrated project management, problem-solving and decision-making skills based on analysis and evaluation.
7. Demonstrated ability to relate to all levels of personnel, from entry-level to executive management.
8. Prior experience delivering training.
9. Strong written and oral communication skills.
10. Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
11. Experience with human resource management system(s) (HRMS).
12. Demonstrated flexibility, organization, and self-motivation.
13. Ability to travel 10% of the time depending on the role.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field; professional HR certification (PHR/SPHR) a significant plus.
