RES-Americas and Energy Northwest Begin Construction on Nine
Canyon Phase III Wind Project

Austin, Texas, May 23, 2007 - Renewable Energy Systems Americas (RES-Americas) and Energy Northwest announced today that construction has begun construction on the 32.2 MW Nine Canyon Phase III Wind Project. With Notice to Proceed on Nine Canyon Phase III, RES-Americas announced that it now has 1,108 MW of wind farms under construction in the United States.

The Nine Canyon project, occupies 47 acres of a 5,120 acre leasehold located southeast of Kennewick, WA located in Belton County. The project expansion will utilize fourteen Siemens MkII 2.3 MW wind turbine generators, and will bring the total capacity for the Nine Canyon Wind Farm to 96 MW.
