Renewable Energy Systems Canada Inc. (RES Canada), a leader in the development and construction of renewable energy projects in Canada, has been awarded the Balance of Plant (BOP) construction contract for the 150 megawatt (MW) Halkirk Wind Project (Halkirk), the largest wind project currently under construction in Alberta.

RES Americas Announces Completion of $275 Million Greenwich Wind Energy Project
Renewable Energy Systems Canada Inc. (RES Canada) is pleased to announce the completion of the Greenwich Wind Energy Project on the northern shore of Lake Superior, in Ontario. The project generated $50 million in revenue for regional businesses and created an estimated 200 construction jobs. The 99 megawatt (MW) project is a limited partnership that is jointly owned by Enbridge and RES Canada.

Enbridge and RES Americas celebrate completion of the $535 million Cedar Point Wind Project
Enbridge and Renewable Energy Systems Americas (RES Americas) are celebrating the completion of Enbridge's Cedar Point Wind Project today in Limon, Colorado. The 250 megawatt (MW) project will generate enough clean electricity to meet the needs of about 80,000 homes and avoid almost 783,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.

RES Americas announced the hiring of Patrick Welch as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  Mr. Welch comes to RES Americas from Atlantic Power Corporation (TSX: ATP; NYSE: AT), a Boston-based, public company in the independent power and transmission business, where he currently serves as CFO.  Mr. Welch will begin at RES Americas in mid-June.

RES Americas Contracts with FRV to Build Landmark Project for Austin Energy
Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) announced today that it had closed financing and begun construction on the 30 megawatt (MW) Webberville Solar project, one of the largest solar PV systems in the U.S. The project, which will be located just outside Austin, Texas, is scheduled to be operational by year-end.  Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. has been selected to construct the project and provide operations and maintenance services for the power plant for five years.

RES Americas and Gestamp Renewables Announce Completion of Flat Water Wind Farm
Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. (RES Americas), a national leader in the development and construction of renewable energy projects, and Flat Water Wind Farm, LLC which is a partnership between Gestamp Wind North America, a subsidiary of Gestamp Renewables and Banco Santander, S.A., are pleased to announce the completion of Flat Water Wind Project in southern Nebraska’s Richardson County and Kansas’ Nemaha County. Flat Water Wind Project is a 60 megawatt (MW) project consisting of 40 1.5 MW GE wind turbines. Substantial completion was reached on November 15, 2010, one month ahead of schedule.

("RES Canada"), une société affiliée de RES Americas, a annoncé aujourd'hui qu'elle a conclut une entente avec EDF EN Canada Inc. concernant l'achat, par EDF EN Canada Inc., de sa participation minoritaire dans sept projets détenus conjointement, totalisant 1003.2MW, gérés par Saint-Laurent Énergies Inc., leur société affiliée. La transaction devrait se clôture sous peu, sous réserve de conditions préalables usuelles pour ce type de transaction.

RES Canada to Sell Minority Ownership Interest in Saint-Laurent Énergies Consortium Projects
Today Renewable Energy Systems Canada Inc. (“RES Canada”), an affiliate of RES Americas, announced that it has entered into an agreement with EDF EN Canada Inc. for the purchase, by EDF EN Canada Inc., of its minority ownership interest in seven jointly owned projects, totaling 1003.2MW managed by  their affiliate Saint-Laurent Énergies Inc. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary conditions precedent and is expected to occur in the near future.

RES Americas Announces Balance of Plant Completion of Hatchet Ridge Wind Project
Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. (RES Americas), a national leader in the development and construction of renewable energy projects, has announced the completion of balance of plant (BOP) construction for the Hatchet Ridge Wind Project. RES Group, RES Americas' parent company, has now produced more than 5GW of renewable energy across the globe with projects in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Scandinavia, Australia and New Zealand. The Hatchet Ridge project helped bring the total to 5,054MW of capacity developed and/or constructed by companies within the RES Group since RES' first project at Carland Cross in Cornwall, England, in 1992.

RES Americas Sells Crossroads Wind to Oklahoma Gas & Electric
Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. (RES Americas), a national leader in the development and construction of renewable energy projects, has announced that it will transfer ownership of the Crossroads Wind Energy Project to Oklahoma Gas & Electric (OG&E). Located in Dewey County, Oklahoma the 227.5 MW project will consist of 95 Siemens 2.3 MW turbines and three Siemens 3.0 MW direct-drive turbines, the first of their kind in the United States.

RES Americas Closes Largest Deal Selling Cedar Point to Enbridge Inc.
Enbridge Inc. announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Renewable Energy Systems Americas  Inc. (RES Americas) under which a U.S. affiliate of Enbridge Inc. will own and operate the 250-megawatt (MW) Cedar Point Wind Energy Project. Enbridge's investment in the project will be approximately US$500 million and the Broomfield, Colorado-based RES Americas will construct it under a fixed-price engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to Enbridge.
