King Mountain Wind Ranch

This site is located on a mesa in Upton County, West Texas, some 20 miles from the Woodward Mountain Project.
RES co-developed this project which had the following power purchase agreements:
- 198.9MW with Reliant Energy,
- 76.7MW with Austin Energy and
- 2.6MW with TNMP.
The 214 wind turbines connect to the grid network via four 85MVA primary substations.
RES acted as the Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) contractor and completed the wind ranch in December 2001.
