Lone Star (Mesquite & Post Oak) Wind Farm
Shackleford County, Texas
The Lone Star wind power project, which was devoped by RES, is located in Shackleford County, Texas.
The first 200MW phase, known as Mesquite, began construction in 2006 and is expected to provide enough power for 63,000 homes.
Post Oak, the second 200MW phase, will consist of an additional one hundred 2MW wind turbines.
Interconnection, road and design work is already well underway for both phases of the project and is being performed by RES under a Balance Of Plant contract.
